Kimberly Seilhamer Feature Film Screenwriter CEO
- BAAKARI CREATIVE, LTD. |
Welcome Screenwriters! Looking for answers?
You've come to the right place. I launched this site in 1999 as an aide to
other writers. I know that when you're new to the business, so many
questions are left unanswered. My goal is to share key information that
can help you move forward in the Industry with your material. I have
learned a great deal, and have overcome many obstacles throughout my
continuing career as a produced feature-film screenwriter, WGAw member
and most recently, producer. I share my
keen insight in the SCREENWRITERS ASSISTANCE area of this website. There you'll find helpful information like a pared-down list of the Script Competitions I
consider most worthwhile, the difference between drafting query letters
for producers vs. agents, how to submit your material to
producers, where to find
those pesky brass brads if you don't live in Hollywood, and much more...
If you're interested in applying for THE BRASS BRAD SCREENWRITING
MENTORSHIP AWARD, the application period opens April 15, 2007 and
closes August 1, 2007. |
First
impressions are everything. Whether you're submitting to an agent,
producer, manager, or competition, your script needs to be ready.
A professional can help. I provide career consulting and script consultation
as time permits. |
PRODUCERS:
I'm best known for thinking OUTSIDE THE BOX and would love to hear about
your projects in development. Let's get them rewritten and ready
for the green light! Just got an idea? No problem. I'll
develop a pitch and we'll go from there. You'll want to peruse the
"Background & Contact Information" section of this website so you
can learn a little about me. Then give me a call and we'll set up a get
acquainted meeting. |
TIP OF THE
WEEK
Now's the time to apply for
career coaching! The initial 16 week session (valued at $750) is just
$600, which includes bi-weekly phone conferences and the read of your best script.
Get on Kimberly's client roster and move

FEATURED BOOK of the Month

"I liked it, didn't
love it. Screenplay Development from the inside out".
This new book by Rona Edwards and Monika Skerbelis should be a real
treat. Monika has a great eye for story -- I know since she read
my first script while at Universal PIctures. Worth a look.
I shop for all my books,
music, and movies on Amazon.com!

FEATURED
CD of the Month
When
I saw this final film of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, I knew I just had to
add it to the other two soundtracks in the collection. Wonderful mood music to write, whether it's the
wonder, romance, adventure, joy, or fear element you're looking
for. Great Stuff!
Some of my other favorite
soundtracks include GLADIATOR, THE GRUDGE, and THE BONE COLLECTOR.
